So is their a security flaw in the combination of the Square reader (hardware) and Square app (software)? That would be a problem and VeriFone wouldn't be in the wrong pointing it out. Or is VeriFone just saying that hardware Square manufactures can be used for skimming? If that's the case, the email is pretty ridiculous. Skimming technology is nothing new and like others have said, readily available.
