I don’t think it’s about gestures. I have two MBP (2015 and 2018), Lenovo cirka 2017 (stock Ubuntu), an Asus Zen (PopOS) something from 2018 and a Dell something cirka 2016 (Windows). Nothing beats a he MBPs trackpads. I’m not sure what it is exactly, but I feel that on Windows the cursor drifts, when I lift my finger. On Linux I feel the trackpad is very sensitive (I get more cursor jumping around). Also, on both Windows and Linux it just feels like they are less precise. I guess it is the ‘it’s hard to explain’ factor that makes it hard to replicate?
