I can't speak for the lower two questions, but Pop has gone the other direction on snaps. The default method of app installation is apt, but if that is unavailable, it will use flatpak from flathub.

- thekyle 7y agoThat's good to hear. I do prefer Flatpaks to snaps since they don't auto update and you can have multiple repos.
- camjohnson26 7y agoThey have the Pop shop too, which seems to do something that’s not apt, haven’t had good luck with that, the versions are often out of date.
