While I agree this post should be downvoted I do think it's worth mentioning at least two different reasons why higher clock speed would push me to intel this generation: AutoCAD and Europa Universalis IV. Those are my two principal demanding softwares where they cannot see any real means of moving past single core for the vast majority of processing.
