Aside from the books and subscriptions, seemed to me like a lot of trial accounts, basically. It feels more like buying a coupon book than getting anything tangible this time.
I rather like the idea of AppSumo, just this time I have a hard time seeing which of these are good deals. After going through them all one-by-one I still can't tell if it's worth a hundred bucks to the average startup.
- geekfactor 16y agoI had that same feeling, and was not convinced it would be worth the time to research the true value.
- aihunter 16y agoThis bundle rocks! If you're worried about not getting what you want, Noah is the nicest guy around. Will give you a 100% refund, no questions asked. http://appsumo.com/faq/ http://appsumo.com/faq/
- babeKnuth 16y agoif i don't buy the bundle that i don't want in the first place then i don't have to worry about the troubles with a refund.
- noahkagan 16y agoFair point. My personal favorites are pivotal tracker ($100 credit), $50 for Twilio, $40 for Postmark and Geckoboard.
- jeremy1217 16y agoI got it early today, and it's more then just trail accounts, some are free for a few months, but there is a lot more value here. I totally thought it was worth it, but I'm going to be using most of this stuff for my startup anyways
- Dylanlacey 16y agoI look at it like a sample bag from a carnival, but without the creepy carnies or the smell of cabbages. Basically, you get to tool around with a bunch of products for a while and see what they're like, how you can use them and what value they provide. Sure, they cost you 1000 packs of Mi Goreng, but so does a tank of petrol.
