Plenty of people must be buying new cars in the UK - the average age of cars is only 8 years, and if you buy a used car it will be a UK model. That’s quite different to somewhere like New Zealand, where the average age is twice that and almost nobody buys a brand new car - instead most cars are imported second hand from overseas.
