>Yeah, I didn't think you knew who you were criticizing, or even had the curiosity to google them.
I was being sarcastic. Either way you shouldn't worship people. Everyone is infallible. Clearly Scott made an editor and clearly that editor is inferior in every way to photoshop. You can literally do the same thing with Brushes. Maybe viewpoint was revolutionary for its time, but no longer.
>Why I'm not pissed off at you at all, and I don't mean for you to take any of this personally
You are pissed off, and you took it 100% personally.
>Well I'm sure it proves your point, whatever it is, and definitively wins your argument, hands down. Who am I to question such extreme self confidence? I graciously concede. Congratulations!
My idea could be a piece of shit for all I care. I didn't share it with you so there's really nothing to talk about.
The topic at hand is viewpoint and how viewpoint isn't even turing complete. Viewpoint can't express any logic so it doesn't even fit with the overall topic of this thread: Visual programming languages.
- DonHopkins 6y ago>I was being sarcastic. Then who are Scott Kim and Donald Knuth and Larry Tesler and Jeff Raskin, and what did they do that relates to this discussion? If you were being sarcastic about not knowing, then you should be able to easily answer that question. And here's another easy question: which one of them did HN most recently turn the header black for, and why? >You are pissed off, and you took it 100% personally. No, I was only sarcastically pretending to be pissed off and take it personally. ;)

If you were being sarcastic about not knowing, then you should be able to easily answer that question. And here's another easy question: which one of them did HN most recently turn the header black for, and why? Because the question is obvious. Who doesn't know Knuth? As for Scott Kim, and the rest, I don't know them and could care less. They aren't the topic of conversation.
- DonHopkins 6y ago>Because the question is obvious. Who doesn't know Knuth? As for Scott Kim, and the rest, I don't know them [...] Let me get this straight: you were obviously being sarcastic about not knowing Donald Knuth, but you weren't being sarcastic about not knowing the other people you were criticizing. ["I actually (honestly) haven't heard of them." -crimsonlucard] That's some implausibly nuanced retroactively selective sarcasm there! You make as much sense as Trump claiming he was being sarcastic about injecting bleach, but in the same rambling sentence he wasn't being sarcastic about sticking a UV flashlight where the sun doesn't shine. Do you believe him? >[...] and could care less. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gv0H-vPoDc&t=1m5s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gv0H-vPoDc&t=1m5s >"I hate these word crimes. Like "I could care less". That means you do care. At least a little. Don't be a moron. You'd better slow down. And use the right pronoun. Show the world you're no clown." -Weird Al
- crimsonalucard 6y agoDid you just call me moron?
- DonHopkins 6y agoDid you just say "I don't know them and could care less", and "Everyone is infallible", and "I was being sarcastic", and "You are pissed off, and you took it 100% personally"? Chill out, it's only a parody. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Word_Crimes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Word_Crimes >"Word Crimes" is a song by American musician "Weird Al" Yankovic from his fourteenth studio album, Mandatory Fun (2014). The song is a parody of the 2013 single "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, featuring Pharrell Williams and T.I. The song spoofs misuse of proper English grammar and usage, reflecting Yankovic's own rigor for proper syntax and semantics. Yankovic chose a topic that would be distinct from those used in many pre-existing parodies, and that would avoid the misogyny issues that had arisen from the source material. You are pissed off too, and you took it 100% personally too. I was being sarcastic too, and merely quoting some hilariously relevant Weird Al Yankovic lyrics. You probably don't know of him either, but since you claim you could care less, that means you do care, at least a little, so you might care to read this Wikipedia page, which explains who he is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%22Weird_Al%22_Yankovic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%22Weird_Al%22_Yankovic
- DonHopkins 6y ago>Everyone is infallible. That's optimistic of you! infallible /ɪnˈfalɪb(ə)l/ adjective incapable of making mistakes or being wrong. "doctors are not infallible" >Clearly Scott made an editor and clearly that editor is inferior in every way to photoshop. And in every way prior to Photoshop, too: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Photoshop https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Photoshop >Adobe Photoshop is a raster graphics editor developed and published by Adobe Inc. for Windows and macOS.
