Yeah, strong claims especially around a political topic like this need strong evidence. I wonder what someone who has actually studied neuroscience would think of this. You've got to remember that it wasn't that long ago when there was "scientific evidence" that black people were genetically destined for a life of slavery.

You seem unaware that the evidence relating personality (of which political persuasions will form a part) to brain structure is overwhelming if you bother to look in the literature which you don't appear to have done. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3092984/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3092984/ Curr Biol. 2011 Apr 26; 21(8): 677–680. doi: 10.1016/j.cub.2011.03.017 https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/study-predicts-political-beliefs-with-83-percent-accuracy-17536124/ https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/study-predicts... https://www.cell.com/current-biology/fulltext/S0960-9822(11)00289-2 https://www.cell.com/current-biology/fulltext/S0960-9822(11)...

I might be understanding this too literally, because I don't know what you're referring to. Slavery was already abolished when genetics came around and I don't think anyone was petitioning for its return in the 20th century.
