If they make an expensive iPhone SE (size) I'd buy that too!
I bought the XS and immediately returned it due to the size (too big for one hand only texting) and no Touch ID (now Face ID while wearing a mask seems an even worse UX).
I've kept and been happy with my iPhone 8 Since September 2017. Previously I bought a new iPhone each year! Though finally replacing it with the new SE in a week or two.
