no, that fear and panic was induced by a combination of political and media fervor where overstating the problem gives them more power, attention, esteem and stature. so taking away that frenzy could also reduce the fear and panic.

- dboreham 7y agoTo be honest I didn't see any of that. I saw considerable media coverage underplaying the severity of the risk.
- fzeroracer 7y agoReally? Because everything I've seen from the media has massively understated how dangerous the virus is, while medical professionals and people actively dealing with this on the front lines are horrified.
