The study presented used simulated data of perceived IQ vs measured (objective) IQ. The authors hypothesis was that the perceived IQ correlated to objective IQ line (i.e. the measure of how well perceived IQ could predict objective IQ) should curve upward. They base their claims on the interpretation of the curve fit without any degree of uncertainty. But the most annoying thing is they fit their graphs with different scales... the broader horizontal scale and narrower vertical scale of the simulated graph makes the curve more apparent, which leads me to question their rigor at fairly evaluating the hypothesis. Would also like to know more about the population and data collection methods.
Also, all the political stuff wasn't really needed to discuss the effect... so I'm going to mentally classify this as right-wing spam.
