I briefly worked on HuffPost Live, which was basically like this, but with a single stream of content. There were hosts and programming, but at any time, guests could audition to join a conversation. The dynamism of having guests of all levels of expertise on a topic was really compelling. I still feel like the project was ahead of its time.
