This is exactly how we should be dealing with the issue of hateful, bad faith actors in this community; point them out and tell them they don’t belong. Thank you for posting this, truly. We will never beat back the hate that has consumed this site without action like this. Shame on the mods for continuing to use the “we didn’t see it argument.” It no longer holds water
- joyj2nd 6y agoI am not sure that I can still post here, but let me try. Look, GRN* indicates that this was kind of a joke. But, as in any joke, there is a lot of truth in it. 1. Hitler was an immigrant himself, since he was not a born German and we were talking exactly about a similar scenario. 2. Making a career in an Army and making a corporate career - and we were taking exactly about this scenario - are two very different things. Both require sound leadership and some of the best and most impressive leaders I have seen were in the military. This being said, due to the differences success in one of them may help in the other but is no guarantee. In some Armies, promotions are also based on seniority or heritage. Last but not least, calling Hitler a person a strong leadership skills does not include any moral judgement about him since leadership has no inherent moral value (US Army Handbook on leadership would disagree). Calling some "compassionate" does. I think MiroF with his unsubstantiated bitching says more about him that it does about me.
- MiroF 6y agoI asked "what was the point", which was apparently too aggressive for you, but accusing me of "unsubstantiated bitching" isn't aggressive? Nuts how childish some commentators on here can be.
