An affordable Ferrari could put VW, Ford, GM and Toyota out of business. Imagine if that was possible, would everyone want it? Or would they buy themselves another Golf? Given the choice of a deluxe Apple computer (never mind an SE one) I would still take the regular PC or the Chromebook. Sounds mad but I like ChromeOS, Chrome and the normal PC keyboard. I don't actually want MacOS and I would pay to not have it. I am not alone in thinking this way.
