Stringr is better because the functions are all vectorized in simple and consistent ways.
- Breza 7y agoAgreed! String manipulation functions in base R work differently in ways that make data cleaning annoying. Stringr frees me from having to remember that stuff and lets me focus on what I'm trying to do instead.
