A couple of weeks ago I installed Ubuntu 18.04, it took hours to get it working fine. I had to install the properitary NVidia drivers but it kept locking the entire machine, sometimes 30 seconds after booting, sometimes a few minutes. Took hours of restarting and trying to get the drivers installed before it would hang to get it stable. Since getting them installed it's been solid. I'd now like to upgrade to 20.04, but not if I need to go through the whole ordeal of racing to get drivers updated before the system crashes.
