You might want to give KDE Plasma a shot: it handles scaling quite well. I find it much superior wrt Gnome, but that's a matter of preferences of course.

- jhoechtl 6y agoNot true when you are using Wayland and GTK-based apps like Thunderbird / Firefox / Chrome or Electron based apps. That was the main reason that after more than a decade I turned to Gnome. HiDPI and fractional scaling just works since then. Highly recommended!
