“map -1 1 to 0 1” gives no search results on Google
I was looking for a way to map values from the range [-1,1] to [0,1], and, surprisingly, Google gives me no results. DDG gave me a useful stack exchange answer.
Very confused why this would happen. Anyone else have the same behavior?

- Someone 6y agoGoogle favors more natural language queries. Using ”map values from the range [-1,1] to [0,1]” (the text you chose to tell us what you mean by “map -1 1 to 0 1”. That probably is telling) gives me https://math.stackexchange.com/questions/1567823/how-can-i-map-a-1-to-1-range-into-0-1 https://math.stackexchange.com/questions/1567823/how-can-i-m... as top hit. That gives the answer (x+1)/2, which, IMO, is the most natural way to do it.
