Both of the GUI's I've used: Kraken and now Sublime Merge work very well in parallel with the CLI. I just have a terminal open next to the GUI and switch between them depending on what I'm doing. Much rather not have a terminal in these apps. It'd probably not match 100% my normal terminal and would slow me down.
