It's unfortunate that we need to specify what day and maybe even hour a news source was written, because data goes stale that quickly.

Wow, mass testing was done at Marion and Pickaway, and they’ve found both to be 75%+ positive. Many other prisons could be similar, the mass testing simply hasn’t been done yet!

Did they actually die from Covid-19? There are many reports of patients "presumed" to have died from it, i.e. officially counted but not tested, or others already had severe complications

    It's a typical talking point of the "it's just a flu" crowd. It's a bit of a loaded question because you might just as well ask how many people died from "pneumonia" or something like that that were actually infected with the coronavirus.

There are separate columns for "Probable" and "Confirmed COVID-19 Related Inmate Deaths". Pickaway has a prisoner population of 2100. If 7 died in the last month from non-Covid causes, that would mean half the prison normally dies in a 14 year period.

    Because what's your point anyway ? If there's 10 person more dying this month compared to the previous one, it's veeeeeery likely due to the coronavirus. that's actually how we'll know in the end no matter how trump tries to hide the real numbers. (but at that point he will have been reelected anyway)
