- iso947 6y agoSnopes
- battery_cowboy 6y agoSnopes is already seen as a 'leftist' source by those folks who need it most.
- dntbnmpls 6y agoThe problem is that snopes is actually leftist so the "folks who need it most" would see right through their agenda. Just like you see the obvious agenda of foxnews and others see the obvious agenda of msnbc/cnn/etc. But you are blind to the bias of msnbc/cnn/snopes/etc just like they are blind to foxnews/etc. It's hilarious seeing the most brainwashed and biased people thinking they are on the side of "truth/logic/science/etc". Whether you like it or not, all media is about pushing agenda/propaganda/etc. No media exists today and has ever existed to produce truth/facts/etc. The ones claiming to be the least biased or the ones you think are the least biased are actually the best at lying to you or deceiving you. Media is about control. If you think there is a media outlet that is honest, then you are one of the duped individuals.
- battery_cowboy 6y agoI wanted to reply earlier, but my eyes rolled out of my sockets due to your 'both sides' argument. It took me some time to get them from under my couch.
- dntbnmpls 6y agoNo. You are right. Only one side lies. What was I thinking?
- battery_cowboy 6y agoEveryone lies, but some lie more than others and some lies are worse. I'm not arguing with you, though, because you're clearly someone who doesn't understand nuance or scale.
- sfj 6y agoIn other words, the lies from my side are small and unimportant. The lies from your side are unimaginably dire and are destroying the world! Now where under the couch did my eyes roll to...
- battery_cowboy 6y agoYou're almost self aware, keep going!
- sfj 6y agoI have no idea what you're talking about. Maybe you could enlighten me, but that would mean you'd have to actually take a vulnerable position in which your thinking process would be there for everyone to see and could actually be challenged, so nah...
- belorn 6y agoI generally prefer politifact over snopes. Snopes seems to mix news with fact checking, and the search tool does not distinguish between fact checking and news. In addition, politifact ground their articles to political statements that can be sourced to a specific person, time and place. That create a framing for which a broader subject can be discussed, but also limits the scope to that specific statement.
