Yeah, but I liked the domain, it reminded me of 60's rock bands I like.
- CydeWeys 6y agoYeah, but those rock band names are at least grammatical. They're of the form "The {Noun}s", not "The {conjugation of verb}".

- jchw 6y agoGive is certainly a noun. As in, “the mechanism has some give.” > the quality or state of being resilient; springiness. Whether it makes sense to pluralize it.. well, no. But hey.
- CydeWeys 6y agoAnd if the name was "The Give" I wouldn't have quite as much of a problem with it, though that's still not a great name, especially in this context.

- CydeWeys 6y agoI'm trying to tell you that I don't think the name "The Gives" is very good, and I don't think I'm alone in that opinion. Do with that information what you will, but my advice in response to your "Show HN" is to pick a better name (and correspondingly, domain name).
