I believe the oldest writing comes from Sumerians, not Egypt.
- thaumasiotes 7y agoSubject to the caveats that (1) we can't necessarily identify something as "writing" or "not writing"; and (2) it's hard to establish accurate dates for things that happened 5-6000 years ago, they're roughly contemporaneous.
