I was referring to ones with simply shaped body parts that don't articulate, but merely shift. They just scream "cheaply made".

- ingenieros 7y agoYou are referring to the infamous: "CalArts Style" https://www.polygon.com/2018/5/22/17381380/thundercats-roar-cartoon-network-style-steven-universe https://www.polygon.com/2018/5/22/17381380/thundercats-roar-...

- the_af 7y agoI'm afraid I disagree with internet outrage in this case. I see nothing wrong with CalArts style. It's a fashion. In time it will give way to other fashions. Old cartoons tended to look in a similar visual style too. I don't get "outrage" over cartoons. I like the style of those new Thundercats. I like the old ones too. I like the style of the new She-Ra. I liked old He-Man and She-Ra too. I just... I just can't make myself say I like My Little Pony. Sorry, my open-mindedness has limits :P
