I tried Ubuntu and the soundcard was not detected at all because the kernel used is too old (requires 5.5 apparently). I tried upgrading to Ubuntu 20.04 and the kernel there was too old as well... Arch was the best distro I could find that used the latest kernel by default. Audio worked there.
