Crank.js
- bglusman 6y agoWas mostly trying to find if there was existing discussion of this I missed, but I guess not! Oddly, I set the title of submission as "Introducing Crank.js" because that's the title of the post, but somehow HN edited it to just "Crank.js"? <shrug>

- bglusman 6y agooh, thanks, that links to getting started not blog post, so I guess different links for HN purposes, but also not much discussion there either... seemed like an interesting idea, though I'm not huge on front end stuff or React, use mostly out of necessity/still kind of prefer server rendering when its an option
- creamyhorror 6y agoSurprisingly, the discussion of Crank.js on Reddit is a lot more prolific: multiple framework authors/contributors (React, Mithril, Solid.js) chiming in. https://www.reddit.com/r/javascript/comments/g1zj87/crankjs_an_alternative_to_reactjs_with_built_in/ https://www.reddit.com/r/javascript/comments/g1zj87/crankjs_... A new frontend framework is typically only merits a yawn, but the occasional one like this which introduces new approaches - generators and async generators - is a breath of fresh air.
