The demoscene did motivate me in the '90s to start to create real-time video effects that I could synchronize to the music. It led me to create my own company and it's still there 25 years later. While I was never part of it because I had an Apple II and then a Macintosh that was never used by the scene, the demos were for me a technological demo of where we can go with a tool to be used by artists or musicians.
