I never thought they could be good, but I now have Sony’s latest ones and the sound itself is genuinely better than any corded ones I’ve had over the years, up to over £100 and always carefully chosen. So I now believe it’s possible to make them good, though they are still expensive. Comparing them negatively ergonomically to cabled earbuds is of course crazy :)
