I didn't see, in the release notes (http://www.haskell.org/ghc/docs/7.0.2/html/users_guide/release-7-0-2.html http://www.haskell.org/ghc/docs/7.0.2/html/users_guide/relea...), any mentions of improved inlining or thread scheduling. Do you have a link to that?
