It can't be that hard for an email client, on setup, to invisibly authenticate that you can recieve email from the address you are using to send from. Then it could organise all the key stuff for you automatically. Though admittedly getting the world to do it may be impossible. Nobody wants to invest in a dying technology. Sigh.
