It is impossible. It depends the scope of the project and the company mentality. In my 12 years as PM, I understood that no roadmap is useful unless it is a short-term roadmap with achievable objectives. It is much easier to plan and scope. I really don't appreciate when other PMs come to me with a 1 year roadmap. Who knows how many thing we will not do, or change or pivot based always on the data we're getting? That's why I preffer better planned things (docs, teamwork) than a document with a nice unrealistic roadmap.
