Kinda ironic that his name literally means dead in French
- vinay427 7y agoYep, and very similar words seem to be in most other Indo-European languages as well.
- beering 7y agoI was curious enough to look it up and the given name Mortimer means "dead pond" according to Wiktionary. Mort Drucker's name is Morris, not Mortimer, so I guess this is a somewhat irrelevant piece of trivia.
- jackewiehose 7y agoAnd I was thinking it's funny he ended up in the printing business with the name Drucker which is German for "printer".
