Some films, most blockbuster films, are like declarative statements. They operate within a clear, familiar framework and are easy to reduce to a verbal narrative---often to great effect! However, some film, like the "Paradox Bullets" here, is more like a keen interrogative. It is 23 minutes of juxtaposing contradictory aphorisms, each overlayed on scenes that, individually, seem to clearly justify the aphorism's value. How do these contradictions weave together into a complete, non-contradictory whole? How often do you have pithy "truths" that operate in your life? How often are these contradictory? More meta-level, but it says something that you gave up on this after just a few minutes simply because you didn't "get it." It's up to you to determine what that "something" is, but at the very least there are lots of people who find value and meaning in films and art like this. Isn't that intriguing?
