I do not do top posting myself. For email, I am using Heirloom-mailx which only does bottom posting (if I can get external editor to work, then I can make it doing properly). For NNTP (I wrote my own client in 2019), I always use interleaved posting, deleting the part of the message which is not relevant and adding the reply after the quoted part which is being replied to. For web forums I also do the same (but would prefer they switch to NNTP instead, or to support both which may be better). I don't use HTML email, and I don't like HTML email. Plain text is better.
