I’ve had a slightly buggy mail setup that can’t quote email sent from Outlook for a few months now. So what I’ve done for shorter replies is simply delete the entire fudged quote and write my response. It works all the time, except for exceptionally complicated cases that wouldn’t be helped by quoting a random messy email thread anyway.
