- yurlungur 7y agoEarly in my PhD we used Galaxy, which was a very popular platform to do bioinformatics/computational biology research. It enabled biologists with some basic programming knowledge to conduct relatively complex analysis and share them with colleagues. Definitely a huge contribution to the field. He's also involved in one of the biggest genomics projects in the past two decade, ENCODE and pretty much everyone in the field used some of its data in their research.
