The curve that we must flatten is the admissions to the ICU as that's the main bottleneck if we want to limit the number of deaths.
And 2 months is probably not back to normal (international travel, etc). China is still fearing a second wave coming from the rest of the world.
- humanrebar 7y agoI don't believe any country can eradicate the virus within its borders once it has spread sufficiently, at least without some form of herd immunity. I think China knows this and is already finding ways to blame foreigners. I think China could completely shut down its borders and still be at significant, if not inevitable, risk. Note that I think other countries will also play the blame game. I don't plan to buy into the finger pointing as it doesn't really solve anything.
