If regular maintenance does not including rebooting the computer, this is news-worthy.
If the maintenance schedule does document system reboots, this is boring and business as expected... no different than periodically reinflating tires or replacing oil. I'd have no concerns flying on such a plane.
- simion314 7y agoI understand, but as developers it is interesting that even in such critical software there are such bugs (in case it was not designed with the reboots in mind from the start)
- losteric 7y agoYes, this says a lot about Boeing's engineering culture... excessive bean counting... but nothing new given the MAX fiasco.
