It's too hard to make both happy at the same time via client-side re-flow. Even the big vendors struggle, such as Outlook for mobile. It's terrible on phones because it tries to carry over big-screen idioms to phone. Sure, there may be a UI genius who can pull it off, but they seem to be rare. Make tools for muggles (mortals) instead.
