While the benefits amount to something small for cities... they've largely been the ones hit the hardest. NYC residents are more or less being ignored in these stimulus packages.
- xwdv 7y agoNYC residents don’t need help, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere, and if you can’t make it, leave and free up some real estate for those who can.
- ianleeclark 7y agoWhat a cruel thing to say.
- xwdv 7y agoI think it’s fair, given the way people in NYC have treated the underclass for a long time.
- blueline 7y agothe median household income in NYC is $57000. there is a huge amount of people in NYC who make up what you're calling the "underclass".
- ianleeclark 7y agoThis is such an impressively grotesque admission, but it leads me to one question: why do people willing to throw away retail workers, home health care workers, cashiers, and janitors (you know, the most commonly held jobs in NYC) to the plague, care about 9/11? Shouldn't you and others like yourself have cheered it on? They are "people in NYC," after all.
- monktastic1 7y agoWhat? The income distribution of NYC roughly matches that of the USA as a whole. Do you wish ill on the entire USA because a small percentage of Americans have acted unfairly?

- treyfitty 7y agoThis doesn’t account for the vast poor and underemployed population. Keep in mind NYC consists of 5 boros, not just SoHo.
