I think as soon as you remove yourself from the equation it becomes a lot easier to know how to "be a leader" IMO. Some people take offense when others seem to be "encroaching" on their territory. When looking at a problem and a room of people trying to address that problem draw the line between the ROOM and the PROBLEM. A lot of times the way people speak about or address things is by first drawing a line between the people in the room, and then draw another line between the room and the problem.
