I think this is great news. Meetup still has major brand recognition out there, and I've been so many awesome events and groups over the years solely due to Meetup. But their online tools for too long have lagged behind in terms of effective group communication, so my hope is that this renewed business focus will result in a better (and more sustainable) product as well.
