Feeling a noticeable speed improvement on my Thinkpad running Focal Fossa. Hearing variable fan sounds that I am not used to running on Linux as well. I feel like the fan has been much more active when running Ubuntu as opposed to Windows. Hopefully these new fan sounds hint at less fan usage long-term. Once Fossa gets out of beta and some of the weird GNOME bugs clear up for that release, this will probably be the best Linux/Ubuntu performance in years.
