Except for the fact that it's a choice - they aren't kidnapped and sold, they are choosing to work in (to us) shitty conditions because the conditions in their home countries are even worse. If you want to talk compassion - have some compassion for what they are running from. I'm actually a little stunned at your disregard for the realities of slavery, both modern day and historic.
