A lot of posts that are "more or less facts" are spoken with a certain connotation, which the posters sometimes are not even aware of. I see a ton of "why is this post downvoted?" edits when someone just says facts, but the way they say it is often snarky or condescending. Displaying intent online is difficult through text, especially when correcting someone, and a lot of people come off as rude when they're not trying to be.
