- DoreenMichele 7y agoThat's probably a little more easily solved. When things get ugly enough, humans have a tendency to skip all the polite rituals and start using mass graves.
- CaptArmchair 7y agoMadrid already has already converted it's largest ice skating rink into a morgue... https://english.elpais.com/society/2020-03-24/madrid-starts-using-ice-rink-as-morgue-for-coronavirus-victims.html https://english.elpais.com/society/2020-03-24/madrid-starts-...
- simonh 7y agoThere are potential options. Spain recently converted an ice rink into a temporary morgue. Decent cooling.
- robocat 7y agoCoolstores and refrigerated containers make ok morgues - first world countries don’t have troubles keeping sanitation standards.
- slazaro 7y agoReally? You're more worried about lifeless atoms piling up than actual humans dying?
- 3JPLW 7y agoI see a morgue at capacity and I think about the thousands of family members who aren't able to properly grieve for, manage, and bury their deceaseds. I wouldn't jump to accusations of callousness on the part of the GP quite so fast.
- SAI_Peregrinus 7y agoImproper corpse disposal can itself help spread disease.
- dreen 7y agoYes. Because heaps of those lifeless atoms decomposing in the streets become vectors of many awful diseases. That was the case with most pandemics we've had to deal with so far.
