What technologies/trends will be accelerated due to Covid-19?
I had an interesting experience in the UK on my way back to the US where no store would take cash because they didn't want to take the risk of spreading the virus on the cash and harming their employees. I'm curious what people think are other trends/tech that will be accelerated by the virus?
- buboard 7y agoGloves Masks Sanitizers Delivery-only retail Disinfections Holidays in remote cabins Solitary sports Social gaming Live tv and radio (as opposed to streaming) Remote teaching Remote doctor visits Delivery as a service, with companies testing employees regularly I might guess an uptick in porn I m surprised we don’t hear much about VR Zoom must have grown so much it is becoming the new facebook Slack as well This is generally accelerating the already existing infrastructure for remote work/ remote life. It highlights how much of physical-presence was actually not needed.
