This was my immediate thought as well. The obvious benefit, and the thing that I think holds Tuple back the most - is that Tuple only supports macOS. That, and they don't seem to have taken the pandemic as an opportunity to lower prices at all.

- frizkie 7y agoBecause when the barrier to entry is getting your company to spend more money to try a product that you've never used before, it might help to sacrifice a little bit of revenue up front in order to keep them as a customer in the future. That's how I see it, at least.
