He doesn't mean competition like "there are no other tablets out that can compete against ipad", he means competition in the sense that he believes that nobody is doing anything innovative in tablets except for Apple. Apple does something, then everyone rushes to copy it. Nobody else is doing anything impressive that Apple rushes and other vendors try to copy.
