In response to people who are saying, "it's just because Chinese people eat weird food that the virus started in Wuhan," here's a much more thoughtful article about how the shape of the global markets contributed to the shape of this pandemic:

- dchyrdvh 7y agoVirus started in the Wuhan virus lab: personnel didn't follow the procedure and the virus leaked. Nearby there was a wet market, but that's a hardly relevant coincidence. Furthermore, many assume that the virus will die out if we stay at home for a few weeks. Virus can live safely in bats and other animals, as well as in some humans, and will resume spreading once the quarantine ends.
